The Solex 1700 was sold from October 1959 until May 1961 :

New motor with an automatic compound clutch that allows the motor to idle
when the Velosolex is stopped
New fuel tank capacity of 1.4 liters
New flywheel cover with an air inlet
The cycle itself remains identical to the 1400
During its life from October 1959
until May 1961, a number of improvements were made:
New raising lever mounted on 4 screws
New center stand
New footrest with the “1700” inscription
New roller
New piston with 3 rings instead of 2
