ATLASOLEX MADE IN INDIA

Crée en 1951, "The ATLAS CYCLES INDUSTRIES LTD." est le plus grand fabricant de bicyclettes en Inde depuis plus de 10 ans. Il fabrique environ 650.000 bicyclettes par an, actuellement, et prévoit d'atteindre très rapidement le chiffre de 1.000.000.



Created in 1951, "The ATLAS CYCLES INDUSTRIES LTD. " has been the largest producer of bikes in India for more than 10 years. The company fabricates about 650,000 bikes per year, nowadays, and plans to attain the figure of 1,000,000 very quickly.



Die "ATLAS CYCLES INDUSTRIES LTD." wurde 1951 gegründet und ist der größte Hersteller von Fahrrädern in Indien seit über 10 Jahren. Sie fertigt seinerzeit etwa 650.000 Fahrräder pro Jahr und plant, sehr bald die Zahl 1.000.000 zu erreichen.

Tant dans sa production que dans ses ventes, localement et à l'étranger, ATLAS occupe une place de choix : il a ses propres licenciés en Iran, en Tanzanie, en Guyanne et au Blangadesh. Il exporte sur les plus grands marchés : U.S.A., Japon, Angleterre, Hollande et Australie.
Il emploie 3500 personnes dans ses usines, qui utilisent les moyens de production les plus modernes.
En 1975, il a décidé d'ajouter à sa gamme la production du Vélosolex, un dérivé du 3800- et est devenu licencié de MOTOBECANE, sous le nom de :
"ATLAS AUTO-CYCLES LTD ".
Pour ce faire, il a entrepris la construction d'une nouvelle usine, qui couvre une superficie de 25.000 m2, et emploiera 800 personnes. Dans cette usine ATLAS prévoit la fabrication de 50000 "VELOSOLEX SCOOTERETTES" par an.



Both in its production and in its sales, locally and abroad, ATLAS occupies a place of choice: it has its own licensees in Iran, in Tanzania, in Guyanne and in Bangladesh. It exports to the biggest markets: USA, Japan, England, Holland and Australia.
ATLAS employs 3,500 people in its plants, which use the most modern means of production.
In 1975, it decided to add to its range the production of the Vélosolex, a derivative of the 3800, and became licensed by MOTOBECANE, under the name of:
"ATLAS AUTO-CYCLES LTD ".
In order to do that, it undertook the building of a new plant, which covers an area of 25,000 square meters, and will use 800 employees. In this plant, ATLAS envisages the manufacture of 50,000 "VELOSOLEX SCOOTERETTES" a year.



Sowohl in der Produktion, als auch im Verkauf, regional und im Ausland, hat ATLAS eine starke Stellung: ATLAS besitzt eigene Lizenzen im Iran, Tansania, Guayana und Bangla Desch. ATLAS exportiert in die größten Märkte: USA, Japan, England, Holland und Australien.
Es beschäftigt 3500 Personen in seinen Fabriken, die die modernsten Produktionsmittel benutzen.
1975 beschloss ATLAS, seinem Programm die Produktion des Vélosolex hinzuzufügen, einen Ableger des 3800 – lizensiert von MOTOBECANE - unter dem Firmennamen „ATLAS AUTO-CYCLES LTD“.
Hierzu wurde eine neue Fabrik gebaut mit einer Grundfläche von 25.000 m² und 800 Mitarbeitern. In dieser Fabrik plante ATLAS die Herstellung von 50.000 „VELOSOLEX SCOOTERETTES“ pro Jahr.

En 1976, MOTOBECANE a reçu la visite de quatre ingénieurs de la haute direction "ATLAS" : ils ont visité nos usines et sont restés en France un mois, afin d'acquérir les connaissances techniques nécessaires à la fabrication du VELOSOLEX et à son lancement sur le marché indien.



In 1976, four upper echelon ATLAS engineers visited MOTOBECANE: “They visited our plants and remained in France one month, to acquire technical knowledge necessary for the manufacture of the VELOSOLEX and for its launching on the Indian market.”



1976 erhielt MOTOBECANE den Besuch von vier Ingenieuren der Hauptdirektion von « ATLAS »: Sie haben unsere Fabriken besucht und sind einen Monat in Frankreich geblieben, um die technischen Kenntnisse zur Herstellung des VELOSOLEX und seine Einführung auf dem indischen Markt zu erlangen.

Neeraj, le propriétaire de ce solex-scooterette est l'un des derniers solexistes indiens.
A titre indicatif un "scooterette" était vendu en Inde en 1976 moitié prix d'un scooter soit un prix de base de 1795 Roupies (hors taxes).



Neeraj, the owner of this Solex-scooterette, is one of the last Indian Solexists.
Generally, a "Scooterette" was sold in India in 1976 for half the price of a scooter, 1795 Rupees (duty-free).



Neeraj, der Besitzer dieser Solex-Scooterette ist einer der letzten indischen Solexisten.
Eine „Scooterette“ wurde 1976 in Indien zum halben Preis eines Motorrollers als unverbindliche Preisangabe verkauft, das heißt für einen Grundpreis von 1795 Rupien (zuzüglich Steuern)

Le VéloSoleX en Indochine

Le VéloSolex en Indochine a commencé en 1950 par l’importation par les Etablissements Jean Comte des premiers 45 dans les 3 pays de la péninsule Laos, Cambodge et Sud Vietnam Le VéloSolex a été très populaire dans les villes du Sud Vietnam notamment à Saïgon, Hué, et Tourane.Son histoire s’est terminée en 1975 par la chute du gouvernement du Sud-Vietnam.



The VeloSoleX first appeared in Indochina in 1950 when the Jean Comte Establishments imported the first 45s into the 3 countries on the peninsula: Laos, Cambodia and South Vietnam. The VeloSoleX was very popular in the cities of South Vietnam, especially Saigon, Hue, and Tourane. Its story ended in 1975 with the fall of the South Vietnamese government.



Das VeloSolex kam 1950 nach Indochina. Die Firma Jean Comte importierte die ersten 45er in die 3 Länder der Halbinsel, nach Laos, Kambodscha und Süd-Vietnam. In den Städten Süd-Vietnams war das VéloSoleX sehr populär, vor allem in Saigon, Hué und Tourane. Seine Geschichte endete 1975 mit dem Sturz der Regierung Süd-Vietnams.
