Le VéloSolex Suisse a été assemblé dans les usines d'Hispano Suiza de 1948 à 1957.
Les têtes de cylindres étaient de fabrication suisse comme beaucoups d'autres pièces notamment la fameuse selle en cuir marron ( Viktor Raetzer ).
La production suisse est caractérisée par un numéro sur le bas moteur commençant par HS ( Hispano Suiza ).
La production de 45CC et de 49CC entre 1948 et 1957 est estimée à 14750 exemplaires.
Aujourd'hui le nom d'Hispano Suiza existe toujours, la société est une filiale du Groupe SAFRAN actuellement implanté à Colombes dans les Hauts de Seine. Elle est maintenant partenaire dans des projets aéronautiques et spatiales comme Airbus et Ariane.



Das VéloSolex mit 45cc und 49cc wurde zwischen 1948 und 1957 in den Fabriken von Hispano Suiza zusammengesetzt. Die Zylinderköpfe stammten aus Schweizer Produktion wie viele andere Teile, insbesondere der berühmte Sattel aus braunem Leder (Viktor Raetzer).
Für die Schweizer Produktion ist eine Nummer auf dem Motorunterteil, die mit HS (Hispano Suiza) beginnt, charakteristisch.
Die Produktion der 45cc und 49cc zwischen 1948 und 1957 wird auf 14.750 Exemplare geschätzt.
Der Name Hispano Suiza existiert noch heute. Die Gesellschaft ist ein Zweig der Gruppe SAFRAN, die derzeit in Colombes im Departement Haut de Seine ihren Sitz hat. Diese ist jetzt Partner von Luft- und Weltraumprojekten wie Airbus und Ariane.




The Swiss VéloSoleX was assembled in the Hispano-Suiza factories from 1948 until 1957. The cylinder-heads were of Swiss manufacture as were many other pieces, notably the famous brown leather saddle (Viktor Raetzer).
Swiss production is characterized by a serial number on the motor beginning with HS (Hispano Suiza).
Production of the 45CC and 49CC between 1948 and 1957 is estimated at 14750 bikes.
Today the name Hispano-Suiza still exists. The company is a subsidiary of the SAFRAN group, nowadays established in Colombes in Hauts de Seine departement, and is now involved in various aerospace and aeronautic projects, like Airbus and Ariane.

Ein Schweizer Tourist aus Zürich, Herr Alwin Reithaar, führte vom 6. Mai bis 31. Oktober 1950 auf seinem Velosolex eine Reise durch Westeuropa aus (15000 km), ohne die geringste mechanische Störung. Die Fahrt, welche unter den schwierigsten atmosphärischen Verhältnissen durchgeführt wurde, ist ein neuer Beweis für die hochwertige Qualität und Widerstandsfähigkeit des Velosolex.



Un touriste suisse Mr Alwin Reithaar a effectué un tour d'Europe et d'Afrique du Nord sur son Vélosolex du 6 Mai au 31 Octobre 1950 de 15000 km sans problème majeur. La seule difficulté notable était la traversée du Royaume Uni qui exigeait une immatriculation du VéloSolex Hispano Suiza.
Ce périple a prouvé la fiabilité et la qualité du VéloSolex.



A Swiss tourist, Mr. Alwin Reithaar, made a 1,5000 km tour of Europe and North Africa from May 6 to October 31 in 1950 without any major problems. The only notable difficulty was crossing the United Kingdom, which required registering the Hispano-Suiza VeloSoleX. This trip proves the durability and quality of the VeloSoleX.

Um das Fahrrad mit Hilfsmotor Velosolex,dessen außerordentliche technishe Eigenschaften die Bewunderung der Kenner aus aller Welt hervorgerufen haben, besser bekannt zu machen,organisieren wir einen großen WETTEWERB der sich aus folgenden Elementen zusammensezt:
1.-Jedermann, der bei einer offiziziellen Velosolex-Service-Station oder bei einem Velohändler, der das Velosolex-Plakat ausgestellt hat und ein Demonstrations-Velosolex besitzt, eine Probefahrt macht, erhält einen nummierten BON, der ihm die Möglichkeit gibt, an der Auslosung gratis teilzunehmen.
2.-Der glückliche Gewinnerer erhält ein Velosolex(letztes Modell).
3.-Der Probefahrt mit einem Velosolex ist absolut gratis und unverbindlich.
4.-Jeden Monat, bis Ende 1953, findet eine Auslosung in Gegenwaet eines Notars Statt.
5.-Um jeden Missbrauch auszuschliessen muss der Gewinner beweisen, dass er das Wettbewerb-Reglements und der Deklaration, die er nach der Probefahrt unterzeichnet hat, ausgëführt hat.
Die Teilnehmer müssen das Alter von midestens 16 Jahren erreicht haben und können im Rahmen des Wettbewerbs bis Ende 1953 nur einen Versuch, bei einem einzigen Velosolex-Verreter machen.
6.-Jeder Besitzer eines vor dem 31.Januar angeschafften Velosolex kann dasselbe von einer Drittperson probieren lassen.Zu diesem Zwecke kann er in einer offiziellen Service-Station einen oder mehrere Teilnehmer-Bons verlangen, für die monatliche Auslosung gültig sind. Wenn der Gewinner des Monats seine Probefahrt auf einem privaten, vor dem 31.Januar 1953 gekauften Velosolex ausgeführt hat, der Besitzer eine Zahlung von Fr.100.
7.-Die Resultate jeder Auslosung werden in der Tagespresse bekanntgegeben und in den offiziellen Velosolex-Service-Stationen angeschlagen Werden.

Afin de mieux connaître le cycle moteur à moteur auxilliaire Vélosolex, dont les qualités techniques ont toujours forcé l'admiration des spécialistes du monde entier, nous organisons un grand concours dont voici les modalités :
1.- Tous ceux qui font un essai de cycle à moteur auxiliaire Vélosolex dans l'une des stations-services ou chez un marchand de cycles exposant les panneaux Vélosolex et ayant un Vélosolex de démonstration obtiennent un bon numéroté leur donnant droit de participer gratuitement au tirage au sort.
2.-Un Vélosolex dernier modèle récompensera l'heureux gagnant.
3.-L'essai d'un Vélosolex est gratuit et n'implique aucune obligation d'achat.
4.-Un tirage au sort aura lieu devant notaire chaque mois et ce jusqu'à fin 1953.
5.-Pour éviter tout abus le gagnant d'un Vélosolex devra prouver qu'il sait se servir d'un Velosolex et qu'il a réellement fait un essai conformément aux prescriptions du concours et de la déclaration qu'il a signée lors de l'essai. Les participants à notre concours devront avoir 16 ans au minimum ne pourront en 1953 ne faire qu'un seul essai, chez un seul agent Vélosolex.
6.-Tout propriétaire d'un Vélosolex, qui acquis ce dernier avant le 31 janvier 1953 et qui a l'intention de faire essayer sa machine par une tierce personne auprès des stations-services officielles obtiendra un ou plusieurs BONS, donnant droit de participer au tirage au sort mensuel. Si le gagnant du mois a effectué son essai sur un Vélosolex privé acheté avant le 31 janvier 1953, le propriétaire de ce dernier obtiendra de Fr 100 .
7.-Les résultats de chaque tirage au sort seront publiés dans la presse et affichés dans les stations-services officielles.

In order to better know the VeloSoleX motorized bicycle, whose technical qualities have gained the admiration of specialists around the world, we are organizing a big contest of which here are the specifics:
1 - All those who test drive a VeloSoleX motorized bicycle at one of the service stations or bicycle shops displaying the VeloSoleX sign and having a demo VeloSoleX will receive a numbered ticket for a drawing.
2 - The happy winner will receive a late model VeloSoleX.
3 - The VeloSoleX test ride is free and there is no obligation of purchase.
4 - A drawing will take place in front of an official each month until the end of 1953.

Le Salon du Cyclomoteur à Zürich en 1962 situé sur le vélodrome avec cette année occupé par la grandiose exposition du stand Vélosolex.
Velosolex occupait le second virage de la piste.Stand impressionnant par ses dimensions,signalé par ses lettres énormes, disposées également sur la piste elle même ! Les spectateurs ont pu dénombrer, avec intérêt et amusement, quarante-deux machines,dont plusieurs suspendues à des échafaudages, chevauchées par des mannequins humouristiques. Vélosolex ne s'endort pas sur ses lauriers. Les Suisses ont apprécié, comme il convenait, les qualités du modèle actuel de la firme courbevoisienne, notamment la puissance du petit moteur et l'efficacité de l'embrayage automatique. Remarquez le gros bidon de Solexine au milieu de la piste.






Der Salon des Cyclomoteurs in der Radrennbahn von Zürich im Jahre 1962 wurde dieses Jahr behauptet durch die großartige Ausstellung des Standes von Vélosolex.
Vélosolex hatte die zweite Kurve der Rennbahn inne. Der Stand war beeindruckend durch seine Dimensionen, angekündigt durch enorme Großbuchstaben, sogar auf der Bahn selbst! Die Zuschauer konnten dort mit Interesse und Amusement 42 Maschinen zählen, darunter mehrere von Gerüsten herabhängend, gefahren von humoristischen Mannequins. Vélosolex ruht sich nicht auf seinen Lorbeeren aus. Wie es auch angebracht ist, haben die Schweizer die Qualitäten des aktuellen Modells der Firma aus Courbevoie erkannt, vor allem die Kraft des kleinen Motors und die Wirksamkeit der automatischen Kupplung. Beachten Sie den großen Solexine.Kanister in der Mitte der Rennbahn.




The Cyclomotor Exposition in Zurich in 1962 was located on the cycle-racing track, this year occupied by the imposing VéloSoleX stand.
VeloSoleX occupied the second turn of the track; a stand impressive with its dimensions, announced by its enormous letters also laid out on the track! The spectators could count, with interest and amusement, forty-two machines, with several suspended from the scaffolding, ridden by humorous mannequins. VelosoleX does not rest on its laurels. The Swiss appreciated, as was appropriate, the qualities of the current model of the Courbevoise firm; in particular the power of the small engine and the effectiveness of the automatic clutch. Notice the large can of Solexine in the middle of the track.

En 1965 la poste Suisse prend commande auprès de la firme de Courbevoie de plus d' une centaine de Solex 3300 qui seront destinés aux facteurs de la Confédération.
Comme le montre cette photo les sacoches en cuir ainsi que la potence sont frappés de la croix helvétique.


1965 bestellt die Schweizer Post nach Angaben der Firma in Courbevoie mehr als 100 Solex 3300, die für die Briefträger des Bundesstaates bestimmt sind.
Wie dieses Foto zeigt, war das Schweizer Kreuz auf dem Lenker und auf den Ledertaschen angebracht.


In 1965, the Swiss post office receives an order of more than one hundred Solex 3300s which will be used by the postmen. As this photograph shows, the leather saddlebags, as well as the handlebars, are emblazoned with the Swiss cross.
